It may work in the short-term, but in the long term in can back fire. The best way to lose weight is eating healthier, watching what you eat, exercise, and counting and burning calories. Set Goals. Decide how many pounds you want to lose. Don't put a time on this as this will add unneeded pressure. You may want to use a BMI chart to determine what is a healthy weight for you. Some research has indicated that our genetics (the code for our bodies) determine where the fat in your body is stored as opposed to the types of food that you eat. Your environment and genetics can determine if more fat is stored on your arms compared to your stomach. Based on this research, if you are lucky enough to have those over hanging love handles, it would mean that somewhere along your family line, the storage of belly fat was passed to you. |
